How to import to Floorplanner

Learn how to use your downloaded FML file in Floorplanner.com to create stunning 3D floor plans

Download your FML file

First, make sure you have successfully downloaded the FML file from our service. The file should be named something like property_12345678.fml and saved to your computer.

💡 Tip:

Remember where you saved the file - you'll need to locate it in the next steps!

Visit Floorplanner.com

Go to www.floorplanner.com in your web browser. This is the online platform where you'll import and work with your floor plan.

Create an account or sign in

If you don't already have a Floorplanner account, you'll need to create one. Click on "Sign Up" and follow the registration process. If you already have an account, simply sign in with your credentials.

📝 Note:

Floorplanner offers both free and premium plans. The free plan should be sufficient for basic floor plan viewing and editing.

Start a new project

Once you're logged in, look for a button to create a new project or floor plan. This is usually labeled as "New Project", "Create Floor Plan", or "Start Designing".

Import your FML file

In the project creation interface, look for an "Import" option or "Upload File" button. Click on it and select your downloaded FML file from your computer.

Look for these options:

  • "Import Floor Plan"
  • "Upload File"
  • "Import FML"
  • "Load Existing Plan"

Wait for processing

Floorplanner will process your FML file and convert it into their format. This may take a few moments depending on the complexity of the floor plan.

⏳ Processing time:

Large or complex floor plans may take longer to process. Please be patient during this step.

Review and edit your floor plan

Once the import is complete, you'll see your floor plan in the Floorplanner editor. You can now:

  • View the floor plan in 2D and 3D
  • Add furniture and decorations
  • Modify room layouts
  • Change colors and materials
  • Generate 3D walkthroughs

Save and share your project

Don't forget to save your project! Give it a descriptive name and save it to your Floorplanner account. You can also share your floor plan with others or export it in various formats.
